Hi, I am Ty, an artist and PSCC survivor. I am collaborating with my cancer to create art (spoke word, poems, YouTube reels…) and also to create awareness about this terrible disease.

I didn’t set out to become an advocate—but silence nearly cost me my life. In my blog, I share how subtle signs were overlooked, why early symptoms are so often dismissed, and what I wish I had known sooner. This blog is for you and the people around you.
PSCC Awareness Project
Welcome, to my website, blog, and my advocacy for you.
‘Early eyes save lives.’
Hi, my name is Ty, and I am a cancer survivor.
My cancer was Penile Squamous Cell Carcinoma (PSCC)—a rare and aggressive cancer that many people feel uncomfortable talking about, or don’t know exists at all. This blog exists to change that. I share lived experience with PSCC, treatment (including surgeries and chemo) and survivorship to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and help make difficult conversations easier. I will share what I learned bringing together family, friends, and medical professionals into my tribe. I am here to help move us past the awkwardness, so we can focus on what truly matters: early detection, informed treatment, and survivorship.
I didn’t set out to become an advocate—but silence nearly cost me my life. In my first post, I share how subtle signs were overlooked, why early symptoms are so often dismissed, and what I wish I had known sooner. If even one person recognizes themselves in my story and seeks care earlier, then sharing this is worth it.
